Will Really Apple Cut iPad 2 Prices for the iPad 3?

Let's hop into a time machine and look back at the scale of rumors about Apple's iDevices in the past year. On our journey through the iPhone 5 rumors, we remember that the summer of 2011 was spent rummaging through the web and forecasting the future of the latest iPhone through each piece of circumstantial evidence to suggest the imminent announcement of the iPhone 5. And while the iPhone 3G and 4 are in sales, the general assumption is that retailers are trying to get rid of old stock while waiting for new Apple products. The same scenario took place when the iPhone 3 was released and the iPhone 3G was in the works.

Back in the present, we seem to be hearing the same news for the iPad generation. We are recently reading reports that the iPad 2 has started to go on sale. News from Apple Insider tells that one of the biggest stores in U.S., Meijer, has reduced in-store prices for 16GB iPad 2 with Wi-fi for $70. The company has announced the weekly sale to run from February 12 to 18 and is offered exclusively in the company's stores. The mere facts that Meijer has slated sales before the end of February 25 may be a sign that Apple will release the iPad 3 on February 29, the leap day of this year, although a lot of other reports are suggesting that the date may actually be March 7. Upon hearing this news, iPad 2 owners are now considering to sell iPad 16GB before the prices are cut. Meanwhile, non-iPad 2 owners are looking to buy their own units to take advantage of the sale.

It is good to note that looking back, the clearance sale for the iPhone 3G and iPhone 4 came in a few months before the announcement of the iPhone 4S. In another published article last August, it was reported that Target had reduced the price of the iPhone 3G from AT&T for the price of only $19.99 and the iPhone 4 for $169.99 for the 16GB version and $249.99 for the 32GB version. The said store had reduced prices for Verizon iPhone 4 in the same way. Best Buy joined at the forefront on August 22. Experts and techies are also looking forward to the same pattern for the iPads and several blogs are now telling people to sell iPad 16GB used units soon before they lose value.

But since history has proven that retailers have a track record of wrong predictions, the price reductions for the iPad 2 are still a little hard to swallow for the moment. And while we have always expected that major retailers have an upper hand once the iPad 3 is released, it seems that the exclusion of Apple's mobile operator partners shows that the retail world remains largely shooting in the dark with regards to Apple product launches.

So dear iPad owner, before you sell iPad 16GB on eBay, think about how much you'll probably be getting from it and how much hassle it'll cause especially when price cuts are just around the corner. Meijer can just gamble an iPad 2 clearance sale, betting that the February 29 or March 7 date is the third major announcement for the iPad and will be followed by a rapid market release of the iPad 3 (it's a big company anyways). Our safe bet is that it will fall sometime between February 29 and March 29.If this bet turns out to be a winner, then it's about time for you to sell iPad 16GB online to eliminate your iPad 2 parts, which will allow you to start fresh with the iPad 3.

How To Google's Cloud to Device Messaging

This Cloud to Device Messaging is a solution to send real-time notifications to user on their Android handset. This is supported by most of the Google Services such as Gmail, Market, and Maps. This messaging server/service takes care of all aspects of queuing and delivery of messages to target devices running developer's target apps. This service also acts as an intermediary between developer's App server and Android device.

This article highlights the prerequisites for Google's cloud service implementations:

• The OS version for Android Device or emulator should be 2.2+.
• At least one user needs to be logged in Google user on device/emulator.
• There should be one application server which can talk to HTTP and connect to messaging server.
• Android application should have permissions to receive message and allowed to connect to the internet connection.
• Developer must register on this service's official site to use this technology for his application and to get developer quota for the cloud to device receiving messages.

The key advantages of cloud to device based service implementation are:

• Application need not be running in background to receive push messages, as those are delivered to the app (Intent Receiver) by using Intent broadcast system.
• It does not create additional burden on network as it uses existing connection to Google services.
• The device to Google's cloud server connection is based on SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol; hence data delivery to device is secured.
• Broken connections are re-established using heartbeat implementation.
• Google's framework for this service does not provide any built-in user interface to display the received push message content. This framework allows the application to completely control the received raw message content.
• For example, the application might post a notification, display a custom user interface, or silently synchronize data.

Some of the limitations to Google's cloud implementation include:

• The push message size limit is 1K (1024 bytes).
• The short data messages framework doesn't give guarantee about delivery or order of push messages.
• This Google cloud system's sender account will have daily limit on total number of messages sent as well as messages sent per device. Currently total limit is 200,000 messages per day.

Some guidelines for the developers are highlighted below:

• When Google service is down the application will get HTTP error code 503 along with retry value. The application should respect these kinds of errors and it should have advanced error-handling mechanism in place.
• The solution should have its own queue mechanism in place, which will be useful when the most awaited feature of Android 2.2 service returns over quota error.
• Application server should not send large data; instead, it should send 'tickles' to the application telling it to download latest data from server.
• Avoid using 'Role Account Email ID' on device.

This cloud to device service provides better user experience for end-user without any additional cost. This service is free; while other alternates such as SMS or polling mechanism can cost more for user, in terms of network usage and battery consumption. Since most of the Google applications available on android Smartphones are using this infrastructure we can be sure that this service is stable & reliable.

Here The Different Types of Computer Printers

All businesses, whether large or small, and most home users need a printer linked to their computer(s). We are not talking about huge amounts of printing where you would go to a professional printer; this is for home & office use. Nowadays all offices are computerised, but most are not paperless. They print hundred of documents, whether they be letters, copies of letters, reports, print outs of emails or of web pages, invoices, spreadsheets, images & photographs - the list is endless.

Many years ago people used carbon paper to make copies of letters that they typed. Today people produce a letter or email on their PC or laptop and either just store the information on their computer or print another copy for filing. Everything used to be black & white - the first colour copiers and then printers were very expensive but now with demand the prices have come down.

Computer Printers are either linked to a computer by a cable, network or have a wireless connection. Some also act as scanners, fax machines and copiers.

There are 5 main types of printer based on how the toner or ink gets onto the paper:

Laser:- Laser printer use a laser beam to create the image obtaining small particles of toner from a cartridge and placing that toner onto the paper. Laser Printers are relatively fast and produce high quality text and graphics in either black & white or colour, on plain paper. The toner cartridges can be quite expensive.

Inkjet:- Inkjet printers work by forcing variably sized drops of ink onto paper. They don't need a ribbon or toner cartridge. They are very popular as the cost is low, they are easy to use and the quality is good (although not as good as a laser printer). Most All-in-one Printers, that is printers that are also copiers and scanners, are inkjet printers.

Dot-matrix:- Dot-matrix Printers are similar to old typewriters. They produce characters by striking pins against an ink ribbon. Each pin makes a dot, and combinations of dots form characters and illustrations. They are quite slow and noisy; the printing involves mechanical pressure, so these printers are often used for printing invoices or multicopy forms. They're not practical for home use.

Thermal:- Thermal printer pushes heated pins against heat-sensitive paper. Many fax machines are thermal printers are. They print faster and more quietly than dot matrix printers and can also be more economical since their only consumable is the paper itself.

Plotters:- Pen Plotters print by moving a pen across the surface of a piece of paper. They are a good way to produce very large drawings efficiently or color high-resolution vector-based artwork.

Printers have two main consumables - paper and ink. Very few printers or copiers require special coated paper so as long as the paper is of reasonable quality, usually 80gsm, any make will do. Ink and toner cartridges are a different matter altogether. Most printer suppliers recommend their own brand but there are many different offerings available on the market. The challenge that you have is to establish the quality of the ink or toner from each particular supplier. The internet has helped with this as you can often find testimonials for companies with good or bad reviews.

Here IT Telemarketing Can Transform IT Leads Into Sales

An IT firm can specialize in a lot of things. Selling software, providing IT support, consultation and management, data recovery and back-up solutions, and many more. These are only a couple of service that IT companies can offer their clients. The IT industry has become a very lucrative market because of these services; people pay well just to have these kinds of things done. No wonder that lots of people take IT courses or start an IT company. Although the Information Technology is a good and profitable business, it is not an easy choice. It is not also easy to look for clients in this business sector.

IT lead generation is one of your best bets to gain clients. It's also one of fastest ways to generate clients and also one of the most effective. As an IT firm, you might find this type of service beneficial to your campaign. Although there are many methods to advertise, hoping that people will take the ad to heart and come find you isn't really something you can rely on to make a profit with. Advertise on TV, people find those kinds of things boring to watch and just ignore them. Go for the radio, well, people who listen to the radio aren't usually the people you need to hear your advertisement. As for the newspaper or other print media, it's a harder deal. Some people will just toss your ad into the trash. The internet is also an option but with so many competitors out there, your site may just be like a fish in a vast ocean where other bigger fishes are. But with IT leads, you are capable of advertising and much more: getting sales and deals.

IT leads can be turned into successful sales and deals. By offering quality service at an affordable cost, you can hope to garner more clients. But first of all, you need to know what kind of service to offer. Not all companies are looking for the same thing and being an IT firm, you should be ready to provide for what your client needs. Being flexible in your field is sure to help. However, communicating your services to your clients is still the problem. To get a sale or deal, you'll need to talk to the right people who have enough power to make a decision regarding the matter. These people are usually busy. Most people don't have time to meet you; others don't care and will shove away right at the front desk. Reaching these decision makers is the first step in turning a lead into a potential sale or deal.

Enter IT telemarketing, a direct marketing tool that can put you in direct contact with who you need to be talking to. Instead of wasting your time slaving away at visiting different companies and getting no results, you can simplify the process with a single phone call. With skilled telemarketers are your disposal, you can hope to be making sales and getting deals quicker. By not only allowing you to hard-sell your product/service but also getting you appointments, it's a good way to reach your potential clientele. Telemarketing has always been able to do the job for many others and it could do the same for you. It's a less costly way to market yourself rather than spending too much on advertisements and only getting so little on return. It's truly a good investment that can surely double the return on what you paid for.

Best 5 Room Escape Games for iDevices

If you're like me, you may have played a lot of room escape games online. But did you know that it's also a growing trend in the Apple App Store? What's great about iOs apps, is they can take advantage of the touch, tilt and shake abilities of the devices. Here is a list of some top-quality games you should check out. Many of them are even free.

1. Antrim Escape (1, 2 & 3) By Game Hive Corp.

This is a series of three games, with a possible fourth to come, set in Antrim Castle in Ireland. The first one is the shortest of the three, but definitely worth playing. I found AE2 to be the most challenging of the three, and AE3 the most balanced. These games have High quality retina-optimized graphics and take advantage of the tilt and shake features. When you finish these games, you'll be wishing for more.

2. Ellie - Help me out...please By Ateam

This game offers a Japanese horror twist to the room escape genre. You are communicating with a little girl through a monitor, and you have to help her escape her cell. There are multiple endings, some good and some bad. So it's worth playing this game more than once.

3. RoomBreak: Escape Now!! By Gameday

This is for the hardcore room escape players. There are 5 episodes with 5 rooms each, making a total of 25 rooms to escape. Each one has an exhaust meter. If you're too slow to solve the puzzle, the meter runs out and you have to start the room over. This can be frustrating for most players, but for those who stick with it, it can be a very rewarding experience.

4. Diamond Penthouse Escape 2 By TeraLumina

While not as long or as unique as the other games in the list, Diamond Penthouse Escape 2 is a solid game with logical puzzles and a humorous ending. It's free and definitely worth your time. Also check out the other games by TeraLumina, such as Haunted House Escape.

5. Escape Game: "The Drifting Locked Chamber" By IDAC CO., LTD.

IDAC is responsible for many room escape games in the app store. They vary in quality, but most are full of challenging puzzles that could stump even the best escapers. I think of the Locked Chamber as one of their better games, as all the puzzles felt logical. Like most IDAC games, it is very linear, but not frustratingly so. If you like their games, you should download AppNavi, which offers many more of their games for free.

How To Alliance Leveling Places Where You Can Also Make Gold

Do you want to level up fast in World of Warcraft as an Alliance player, and also make some gold along the way to the level cap? Well, if that's so, there are a few Alliance leveling places that you shouldn't overlook.

Before I point out these Alliance leveling places, though, I want to underline one thing. The days of grinding for XP in WoW kind of ended when Burning Crusade was released. So, you won't make too much XP by grinding on mobs anywhere, unless you have 3-4 Heirlooms equipped and some rested XP.

Therefore, I recommend you to grind for XP in these Alliance leveling places only if you're in need of gold, or if you're leveling up via battlegrounds or dungeons and don't know what to do while in queue.

Here are the spots I was talking about:

Tyr's Hand. Back in the day, before Cataclysm, the mobs in this camp were all elite, and level 58-59, if I remember well, and it wasn't that easy to grind here unless you came with a level 70+ toon. Also, the mobs were all humans, and now they're all undead, about 15 levels lower and normal-type, not elite. Apparently the Cataclysm has changed things around here. There's a high concentration of mobs at Tyr's Hand, you will never run out of them, but the ones you must focus on are the Scarlet Archmages. They drop the Crusade enchantment formula, which sells 1500-2000g.

Tyr's Hand is located in the southeastern corner of Eastern Plaguelands, a bit west from the Ruins of the Scarlet Enclave.

Blackrock Spire. I'm not a really big fan of leveling up via dungeons, but Blackrock Spire is one of the best Alliance leveling places, to gain some quick XP from level 58 to 61. There are loads of mobs inside, and 14 bosses, very easy to kill, and even if you use the Dungeon Finder tool, with a little luck your party will go through this instance really quickly. Mother Smolderweb and Quartermaster Zigris drop (100%) two vanity pets nice to add to your collection. As for the gold making part, if your character is a Tailor-Enchanter, you will get plenty of Large Brilliant Shards, Greater Eternal Essence and Runecloth not only to level up your professions, but also to sell at AH for nice gold. Also, if you're here, you might as well try to complete the "Leeeeeeeeeroy" (hope there are enough e's) achievement, for the "Jenkins" title.

Northwestern Silithus. Unfortunately this spot doesn't have any particular name, however the location where you're supposed to grind is a bit south from the Crystal Vale. The mobs are wind elementals and they drop Essence of Air, which sells pretty nicely, for over 100g a piece. They also drop Elemental Air and Breath of Wind, materials that some players might need. Essence of Air is used for a few nice weapon enchantments that can be applied on Heirloom weapons, enchantments that are on high demand nowadays.

Tip: Although these are two excellent Alliance leveling places where you can also make some gold, the fastest way to level up is questing. If you follow the correct quest path, you can reach the World of Warcraft level cap in less than four days.

There are a few in-game leveling guides that can provide you with excellent step-by-step leveling paths, from 1 to 85. In fact, I'm currently using one to level up my mage.

How To You Ought To Know About Your Xbox 360 and The Red Ring Of Death Lights

So you finally decided to buy an Xbox 360 or you had one a long time ago, and now it stops playing or keeps freezing? Well believe it or not, you are not alone. There are many gamers that look for ways and help to repair the Xbox 360 red light issues. I have seen hundreds of videos and checked out many guides on the subject matter. There is a lot to know when it comes to fixing your Xbox 360 so I'm going to try to explain how to repair your gaming system in 1 hour or less.

You probably already know about the technical difficulties that the Xbox 360 gaming system experiences, especially when it comes to its 3 red light problem. Here are the top 3 reasons though that the Xbox 360 red ring of death light appears.

1. Overheating,

2. Problems in GPU,

3. Problems in power brick.

So what are these issues anyway and how exactly can you fix them? The number one cause for red ring of death lights as mentioned above is the overall overheating of the console. If the console over heats like a PC, then it most likely going to experience many errors, and possibly stop working. So it is better to turn off your Xbox 360 every once in a while to stop it from overheating if possible.

The second reason is obvious as well. The GPU or CPU can cause any Xbox 360 to freeze or stop working so it's always a good idea to take the gaming system case apart and clean it. You will have to unscrew the heat sink carefully with screws, and clean the Xbox 360 motherboard. There are several videos and guides that show you step by step how to do this!

The third main reason that the Xbox 360 won't turn on or work is because the power supply might not be as secure as you think it is. Make sure that the power supply and Xbox 360 is plugged in right. If the power supply light is off, it usually means that the power supply is disconnected from the electrical outlet. If you've confirmed that the power supply is connected to the electrical outlet, and the light is still off, there might be a problem with the power supply. If you are having a difficult time figuring out what to do, then I would recommend watching some videos and reading some guides that show you step by step how to fix your situation!

I'm sure that you will make an educated choice, and find the best videos and guides possible to help fix your Xbox 360 3 red light dilemma. One of the guides that I found was a proven complete system that walked me through the 3 red light fix process, step by step, packed with cool videos.

Xbox Kinect Is Changing the Gaming World

The Xbox Kinetic is the innovative new way to control your console, bringing video games as well as home entertainment alive. With Xbox 360 Kinect, conventional hand-held game controllers could be a thing of history; it's now just you and your Xbox 360! Kinect quickly became the top-selling consumer device when it was introduced in November 2010 - breaking all past records!! On its introduction it sold an average of 133,333 items everyday with a total of 8 million devices within the first 60 days and 10 million units by March 9th, 2011.

What exactly is Xbox 360 Kinect?

The actual Xbox Kinect sensor unit is a fairly small piano black device which sits on the top or even below your television. The Kinect is equipped with three advanced digital cameras located within the unit. The middle camera is an RGB one and can detect if there is any person waiting in front of the actual sensor. It is able to detect twenty individual articulation points for each and every person, which helps it to develop a good picture of just what action they are undertaking. The other two cameras on either side of the RGB camera, work together to develop a 3D image of the room. The cameras are able to track 6 players at any time which in turn makes for an interactive multi-player game playing experience.

With Kinect you'll enjoy a completely new and user-friendly world of gaming and home entertainment. The technological know-how wizardry powering Xbox 360 Kinect puts you at the heart of the gameplay by monitoring your overall body motions, facial expressions and even your voice. Kinect responds to all actions carried out by the user making all on screen interactions very user-friendly and intuitive.

If you are playing football and need to take a free-kick, simply put the ball on the spot, step back and take the kick. It's as easy as that.

Xbox Kinect will also understand and respond to your voice making the whole experience a lot more personalised. Take control of your Xbox by simply saying a command - there's no need for a controller. You can even connect with other Xbox users and join chats over Xbox LIVE.

The Kinetic Xbox has sophisticated face recognition capabilities that can identify when you frown, smile, raise an eyebrow and more, translating all your real actions to easily identifiable virtual actions. You can even mirror every single movement to your Xbox Avatar, opening the doors to a unique social networking encounter where it's possible for your Avatar to chat and mingle with other users on Xbox LIVE.

When the Xbox Console was first launched it began life as a dedicated gaming machine, but with the advent of Kinect it's now inviting users of all shapes, sizes and ages to be part of this global phenomenon. The Kinect's simplicity of use allows every one to get up and take part in a surreal and interactive world.

This is helped further by the growing number of titles which are now available for the Xbox Kinect. It's possible to find games which will interest the entire family and give 'family time' a completely new meaning.

There is also an increasing choice of fitness titles available for budding fitness enthusiasts who are turning to the Kinect as part of their main fitness routine. The results for this dedication are nothing to be sniffed at with some users reporting significant improvements in their fitness levels. On one popular forum an individual lost 22lbs in a mere 9 weeks playing games like, Kinectimals, Kinect Adventures, Dance Central, Your Shape and EA Sports 2.

Serious gamers needn't worry as they haven't been forgotten by Microsoft. There's a whole string of hardcore games for trigger happy players, including new versions of popular franchises like Halo and Gears of War.

What ever camp you fit in the Xbox Kinect does not fail to delight and entertain.

The incredible Xbox Kinetic is rapidly changing the way we interact with our console, television and each other. Whatever you do and say is magically re-created naturally allowing you to enjoy entertainment and video gaming on a whole new level.

Finally I Have Found My Way To Flight Simulator Bliss

How do you know when you have picked a GOOD flight simulator? Finding a good simulator is becoming harder and harder as a large number of flight simulator games have hit the market in recent years. I remember when flight simulation began and ended with Microsoft Flight Simulator '95. Today, Microsoft is still a BIG name in the flight simulator game despite their last release being a few years ago with FSX. What keeps these giants in the market are simply third-party software releases which enhance your experience in various ways. I have previously installed gigabyte after gigabyte of extra scenery, extra aircraft and various small additions to aircraft and airport realism. My main gripe with this has always been - to run this properly I'd need to spend literally thousands upgrading my computer. YouTube is a classic example of this, a brief search will yield some amazing videos of almost lifelike graphics and ultra smooth visuals; however, the hardware setup to achieve such graphics is simply out of most people's budgets.

There are a number of factors to look for in a good flight simulator:

Realistic flight model
Realistic scenery
Something that is able to be run on your home computer
Challenging - flying is always challenging so why should flight simulation be any different?

Getting a simulator with a realistic flight model is a HUGE must for most flight sim enthusiasts, the best flight simulator to date which achieves this (for me anyway) is Professional Flight Simulator. NASA flight dynamics are hard to beat and they are replicated in spades with this flight simulator, now don't get me wrong, I have purchased quite a few excellent aircraft add-ons for FSX which have a fantastic flight model, but until now have never had the pleasure of it being built into the simulator.

Realistic scenery, this is a huge bone of contention amongst many within the simulation community. How much are you willing to sacrifice for pretty visuals outside the cockpit? The sacrifice you make or at least that I have made to date is frame rates. There are some FANTASTIC additions to scenery available now and the developers have done an absolutely magic job of creating these. However, again I find myself stuck with ridiculously low frame rates, so what's the point? There is a school of thought out there that scenery really doesn't matter, as long as the aircraft behaves like the real aircraft would then graphics are just a waste of time. To some extent I agree with this, however, I can't help but be a wee bit jealous of those people who have spent thousands on a simulator setup that runs these visuals perfectly.

So this leads perfectly into finding something that runs well on your home computer, and no I don't mean something that runs on a computer that cost 6000 dollars to build. Something that runs on my machine and your machine yet gives us that elusive realism that we keep looking to achieve. Pro Flight Simulator does that thankfully, I've found that as flight sims develop the requirements for a high-end PC progressively gets stronger. Something new has happened lately, developers of ALL games have realised that to reach the full potential of their target markets, they need to create something that will run well on EVERYONE'S computer. So there is a lot more work going into simulators that whilst still look GOOD, will run on your average PC.

So let's say we have achieved all of the above, we have a flight sim that runs well with our computer hardware, and looks fantastic when we manage to drag ourselves away from those instrument panels. The last thing I want is to be challenged! Challenge in a flight simulator is the ONE thing that keeps us flying. The challenge of that ILS approach, or crosswind landing, or setting up a flight plan that WORKS from start to finish. There is an immense sense of satisfaction for me when I achieve the above, a perfectly planned flight that results in a (landing I can walk away from) and a 737 full of content passengers. After fifteen years of struggling to achieve all of the above, I think I'm finally there, I genuinely hope that you are as well.

Happy Landings!

How To Become A Mafia Wars Don Through Deceit, Treachery & Guile

Mafia Wars is a popular Facebook game that is quite different from some of the site's other popular games like FarmVille, FishVille and Restaurant City. If you're reserving your free time for something darker and more adult, then this criminally-oriented game is the perfect alternative to the more ''cartoony'' games that seem to be the dominant social networking diversions these days. With such soft competition, it should be no surprise that this game that is focused on violence and treachery took home last year's People's Voice Webby award in the online games category. Tens of millions of avid online mobsters join the Wars every day, so there's no question about the quality and appeal of this game. The real question is: are you cutthroat enough to come out on top?

What Is Mafia Wars?

The title of the game really tells you all you need to know about its core objective - a video game alternative to TV's famous series, The Sopranos. Your goal is to start from the bottom of the mafia heap and build up yourself and your family until you're prepared to take on other tasks and battle other families. In the beginning, it's just you, and you'll have to choose your player type (Maniac, Mogul or Fearless) and work your strengths and weaknesses to your best advantage, all the while recruiting and hiring new members for your criminal family.

OK, So Tell Me How To Win?

Because Mafia Wars' designers - Zynga - are constantly updating the game, there's really no "forever" way to win. By earning more money, completing more tasks and increasing the size and strength of your mafia family, you can gain access to new cities and characters and grind your way up through the levels, leaving behind a trail of fear and destruction. Zynga is expected to offer two new temporary settings this year - Las Vegas and Paris - which means plenty of new challenges for ambitious players.

Where Can I Play Mafia Wars?

There are solo versions of the Mafia Wars game, but it's no doubt most popular in the MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) form that's offered on social networking sites like MySpace and FaceBook. It's safe to assume that if the site you're using is free, then playing Mafia Wars will be too. But it's important to know that some phone applications for the game may have tech charges attached so be certain to check before playing so that you won't receive a nasty surprise.

Why Would I Want To Be A Vicious, Blood-Thirsty Criminal?

Mafia Wars is a cool game, and by cool we mean you don't have to be embarrassed when you tell people you play it. Most guys wouldn't admit that they were interested in games like Restaurant City where menus and restaurant design are primary. But you can tell all the guys on the team that you are a rough, tough mafia player and know that they will be impressed.

Building Creative Constructions With Improved Graphics

Minecraft is a video game that allows its player to build constructions from textured cubes in a three-dimensional environment. The alpha version of the game was first released by Mojang, a Swedish company, in May of 2009. Another beta version was launched in December of 2010. Recently, Mojang released the latest version of Minecraft for iOS and Android platforms on November 18, 2011 during the MineCon 2011 trade show. However, not all Android-based gadgets support the game. To date, Minecraft is exclusively available only for Xperia Play.

Graphically, nothing is too impressive about Minecraft. The game is available in low-resolution imaging and you will not find any shades within the game graphics. However, with Minecraft Texture Packs or Mods, the shortcomings can be overcome a bit. The Minecraft Texture Packs and Mods do not only give you more options of various backgrounds in the Minecraft world. The Mods also improve the resolution of the images. Basically, aside from altering the graphics, there are no other uses for the Mods. However, various backgrounds may make your gaming experience more fun and less boring. Right now, these Mods or texture packs can only be used on Macs and Windows computers.

Many texture packs are available for you to download and use on your Minecraft game. One of them is Optifine. The Optifine mod is popular since this texture pack has improved performance as well as graphical qualities. Indeed, the alteration is not drastic. Nevertheless, the mod can smooth some effects in the game. Another example of a Minecraft mod is the Water Shade Alpha. You cannot use this mod with Optifine since they are not compatible with each other. Water Shade Alpha texture pack makes the water effects in the game look more realistic.

To install a texture pack on Windows, you need to follow these instructions:

1. Make sure you have an extractor application such as WinRar.

2. Open the start bar and click "run" option. If you use Windows XP, type "%appdata%.minecraftbin"; if you use Windows Vista or 7, you will need to type "C:Users*YourUserName*AppDataRoaming.minecraftbin".

3. After typing the information, you will notice that a folder will appear. Inside it, you will find a file named minecraft.jar.

4. Right click the file and click the "Open with..." option from the pop up menu and select "WinRar Archiver". This step will bring you to an open WinRar program that shows you some folders and files with a png extension.

5. Drag the files from the texture pack and drop them into WinRar directly. This will change the texture inside the game and your new textures will be ready to play.
